My mission is the timely treatment of coronary artery disease with a strong focus on patient education and shared decision-making.

As a family medicine trained hospitalist, I aim to maintain a coordinative approach to the care I give. I prioritize patient education in my treatment philosophy. 

I enjoy helping people stay healthy through preventative medicine, as well as treating both developing and ongoing health issues. I especially value getting to know my patients over time.

I believe completely in treating each of my patients as an individual. I believe that really listening can be just as important as any physical exam or test. Outside of my work in medicine I am a musician and I enjoy reading and spending time with my dog.

I strive to help patients attain the best health possible; have full understanding of their health issues; and equip them to take partnership in managing their health.

My mission is to provide the very best clinical care to my patients- both in prenatal genetics and obstetrics. 

M. Reza Afrasiabi, MD

My mission is to provide every patient on the acute care surgery and trauma surgery services with the highest quality of care inside and outside of the operating room.

I was raised in Southern California and moved to Boston to complete my undergraduate degree in mathematics at MIT.  After completing general surgery residency in Chicago, I moved back to Boston to complete fellowships in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery at the Brigham. I love the outdoors and spend my free time snowboarding and hiking throughout the northeast with my friends and family.

It is a pleasure to be a part of the team that provides exceptional care during the perioperative period. My goal is to help improve and tailor the anesthetic experience for each patient. Outside of the hospital, I enjoy spending time with family, visiting new places, and hiking/jogging. 

My mission is to listen, teach and make every effort to help heal patients while providing empathy and emotional support during their most challenging times. 

Everybody has a right to quality health care and I am privileged to be part of a team that works towards achieving those goals. 

Developing healthy, trusting relationships with my patients is a passion of mine. Preventative medicine is key to a long, healthy life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my french bulldog, Lilo, playing video games, hiking, traveling, and kayaking.
