My journey to becoming a physician has led me not only to multiple states, but also abroad to Haiti and Jordan on medical mission trips. I am continually learning from my patients and their experiences. I translate this clinical knowledge to all of my new patients. 

Outside of work I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family

I have been a proud member of the Hospitalist group at South Shore Hospital since its inception in 2000. I believe that patients can benefit from a dedicated group of hospital physicians who work in conjunction with the primary care physicians and specialists in the community.  

Outside of work, I enjoy most sports and outdoor life with my family on a small farm in Southern New Hampshire.

My mission is to teach patients preventative measures to avoid disease processes.

It is a privilege to help patients understand their disease processes and actively participate in their care and decision making.

I came to medicine from the business world, and it has been incredibly rewarding to focus my energy and abilities on helping people who are acutely ill. I believe that really listening to patients and their families is the key to providing exceptional care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young children.

My focus is to provide high quality health care and excellent communication with my patients. 

I have worked clinically as a PA since 2014 in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, clinics, and subacute rehabs. This has provided me a deeper understanding of the healthcare system and the trajectory of the patient experience across multiple healthcare settings. Outside of work, I love music, traveling, and food.

People come to the orthopedic surgeon seeking relief from pain and improved function. It is my goal to create a trusting doctor-patient relationship and make a treatment plan together. We have the same desire: for you to get better and back to life.

I love caring for children and their families, whether it be supporting parents as they learn how to care for their newborns or helping a sick child recover from an acute illness. I believe in shared decision-making and incorporating each family's individual needs and goals into their child's care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, running, and traveling.

I grew up in a small town in Northern New York, and joined South Shore Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2012. I completed my undergraduate and medical education as well as my general surgical training and surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. I am also fellowship trained in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. I have had a long-standing passion in bariatric and weight-loss surgery and my goal in joining the South Shore Hospital team was to bring that expertise and opportunity to the South Shore community. The hospital has been very supportive in this endeavor and over the past few years we have created a collaborative team of providers from across institutions to start the South Shore Hospital Center for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. As medical director it has been my pleasure to help the program grow into a strong clinical component  of the department of surgery and create more outreach into the community. I am also actively engaged as a trauma surgeon and have a busy general surgery practice taking care of a variety of disease processes including the minimally invasive management of gallbladder disease, hernia, GERD, hiatal hernias, as well as the surgical management of a variety of other gastrointestinal disorders. When I am not working, I enjoy the simple things in life like relaxing by a large campfire or spending the day at the beach with my family. 

I went into family medicine in order to have long-term relationships with my patients, and I find this to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.  I enjoy working with patients of all ages and working together with multigenerational families.  Outside of medicine, my interests include running, biking, skiing, and travel.  Most importantly, I love spending time with my family.

I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, with clinical epidemiology training. My clinical expertise include assisting geriatric patients with informed-decision making based on risk factors and predictors of long-term functional outcomes, and implementing interventions to optimize functional and cognitive outcomes.
