An admission to the hospital can be a very stressful time, no matter what the diagnosis is. While treating a patient's condition, I believe education and communication is very important. I enjoy spending time with my patients and their family, discussing their condition, and developing a treatment plan. Outside of work, my biggest joy is my family. 

As a midwife, I affirm the powerful societal choice that women make when they choose to be actively involved in their healthcare.  I enjoy working collaboratively with families to find choices that are right for them. In my free time I enjoying rowing, cross stitch, and playing with my three cats.

As the nurse practitioner navigator of the Lower Limb Preservation Team, it is my privilege to help patients with complex wounds navigate our healthcare system. We are dedicated to promoting prevention, maintenance, and treatment of acute or chronic wounds. Along with other dedicated providers, I strive to ensure that each patient is educated in the healing and disease process and understands prevention of wound re-occurrence. In my role, it is vital that each individual is connected with the right care at the right time to promote wound healing. With almost 20 years of experience it is my privilege to bring my skills, knowledge and hardworking ethics delivered with empathy to the South Shore Community.

My job is ultimately about the trust that comes from a long-term relationship.  I am honored that people choose me to care for them and their extended families, and I do my best to give thoughtful and evidenced based advice.  Each of us has unique goals for our long term health, and I really enjoy giving people guidance in this realm.  I also enjoy the challenge of my work.  Each day is extremely diverse and forces me to stay continually current.  When I am not at work, I love competing in triathlon and cycling events, skiing, travel, and being outside.  I also adore being a father to my three daughters.

I am a dedicated and patient focused physician with comprehensive experience in hospital settings. I hold a great regard for detail, accuracy and follow through and can make decisions in a fast paced and unpredictable environment. I value communication with patient, their families, my colleagues and support staff to provide very best care for our patients.

My philosophy is to have each patient feel safe and comfortable during their visits as we work together to obtain optimal women's health. 

I enjoy seeing patients on an ongoing basis and strive to develop long-term relationships that will allow me and my nurse practitioners to tailor our medical care for each individual patient's needs. We see patients in a setting that tries to foster a relaxed and friendly approach to patient care.

I am certified in menopause management as well as robotic surgery. I value being able to offer women information to assist them with transition through menopause. In addition, I have worked hard to make sure that women in the South Shore area have access to minimally invasive surgery and all it's benefits by offering robotic surgery to my patients. My nurse practitioners are especially adept at handling the needs of youth with their contraceptive needs, etc. 

It is a privilege to help people in need get back to being healthy. Individualized care plans and communication are paramount to practicing medicine, I strive to provide the care patients need. Outside of work, I like to try new sports and spend time with family; diligently working to excel in golf.

It has been my privilege to practice medicine and to have made a difference in the lives of my patients over the past 21 years. I enjoy the challenges of practicing internal medicine in a hospital setting and working as part of a team with our excellent hospitalist providers, consultants, nursing and ancillary staff. I served as Medical Director of the Hospitalist Department from 2009-2015 and am proud to say that we have an amazing program with dedicated clinicians who genuinely enjoy the care of hospitalized patients and are committed to excellence in their every day work. I enjoy giving back by participating in the Pan Mass Challenge which raises critical funds for cancer research and the Multiple Sclerosis cycling events. I enjoy boating, hiking and camping, and long distance bicycling and, most importantly, spending time with my family.

My mission is to educate patients on their health conditions and provide personalized care to patients and their families.

I am passionate about providing the best possible care to patients. Entering the hospital can be a scary and stressful time for patients and their families. As a provider, I hope to ease this transition and cater to patient’s physical and emotional needs. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, exercising, and spending time with my family.

My journey to becoming a physician has led me not only to multiple states, but also abroad to Haiti and Jordan on medical mission trips. I am continually learning from my patients and their experiences. I translate this clinical knowledge to all of my new patients.
