My goal as a provider is to provide a listening ear so my patients are aware that I care about their concerns. 

I have been a nurse practitioner in Women's health since 2009. I have enjoyed establishing rapport with my patients over these years. Outside of work, I love traveling, going to the beach, cooking, baking, and spending time with my husband and three children. 

Dr. O'Brien is Medical Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at South Shore Health. 

As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician, I am dedicated to caring for women and families navigating high-risk and medically complex pregnancies with expertise, compassion, and individualized attention. 

I strive to integrate evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach that recognizes the physical, emotional, and social factors that shape each patient’s experience. 

I am also committed to advocating for equitable healthcare and improving access and outcomes for marginalized and underserved communities.

As a medical student, I was unsure what my clinical focus would be. Once I saw my first delivery, it was clear that this was my future. I started my internship and residency training here in Boston. After moving to California and spending several years practicing there, I knew I wanted to return to Massachusetts. I have been at South Shore Hospital for nearly ten years now and am grateful to work with the women of the South Shore. After many years practicing both Obstetrics and Gynecology, I realized my true love was the Birthing Unit and transitioned to a Laborist position. I am privileged every day to be part of something so amazing and love that I get to share in such an important family experience.

My treatment philosophy and ultimate goal is to collaborate with families to achieve the best birth experience while helping to ensure the wellbeing of mom and baby.

Dr. Suniti Nimbkar, Medical Director of the Breast Care Center at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health

I'm a surgical oncologist, and the Medical Director of the Breast Care Center at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health and an Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. I received my Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed my General Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center.

My mission is to provide outstanding, compassionate care for patients with breast cancer which integrates multi-disciplinary care and allows for the most up to date treatment standards. 

I went into the field of breast surgery because I knew that I wanted to be able to help patients going through a new diagnosis of breast cancer with thoughtfulness and insight into the latest therapeutic options.  I feel that being a part of the team at the DFBWCC Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Health allows me to be a part of a team of superbly talented clinicians who all have the same goals in mind when it comes to the care of a patient with breast cancer – personalized care, compassion, mutual respect and attention to details. 

I have been a proud member of the Hospitalist group at South Shore Hospital since its inception in 2000. I believe that patients can benefit from a dedicated group of hospital physicians who work in conjunction with the primary care physicians and specialists in the community.  

Outside of work, I enjoy most sports and outdoor life with my family on a small farm in Southern New Hampshire.

I have been privileged to provide primary care to patients for 25 years. I started my career in women’s health, then transferred to Affiliated Medical Groups in Quincy. This practice then transitioned to cardiologist Dr. Lisa Antonelli, where I continued my role in providing comprehensive medical care for primary care patients. This practice then joined Dr. Barry Miller’s oncology practice in Quincy, where I continued with my role providing primary care to the adult population. 

In 2008, I decided to join the medical team at South Shore Medical Center, again as a Nurse Practitioner in the primary care role. I feel that I have been fortunate to provide care for many of my very first patients and their families today. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two sons and their families. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, watercolor painting, and traveling.

My mission is to provide exceptional urological care. 

I graduated from Wake Forest School of Medicine with a Master of Medical Science. As a Physician Assistant, I have been practicing Urology for over 15 years. I am a compassionate provider and focus on treatment plans that are individualized. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my husband and dog Murphy.

My philosophy is to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and offer my expertise within the scope of my skills.

I was born in New York City to immigrant Latino parents. Yes, I root for the Yankees, of course!

Outside of work, I enjoy physical fitness and spending time with my family.
