Liana MacDonald is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Regis College with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2020. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2016 and began her nursing career in the Emergency Department. She has been working as a Labor and Delivery nurse since 2019.

Liana is passionate about health equity and eliminating the gap in care amongst different races and ethnicities. She is proud of her focus on adolescent health, substance use disorders in pregnancy, and trauma-informed care.  

When not at work, Liana can be found spending her time with family, friends, and her rescue dog. She loves to travel to new cities and countries and learn about different cultures. She also loves to give back to her community.

My mission is to care for all patients wisely, fairly, and with respect.  

I work hard to provide the best emergency care to the greatest number of patients, and to treat every patient with the respect and importance that they deserve.

I believe that its a great privilege to help patients and their families and build long term relationships with them. As we all are unique, I believe that everyone's medical care should be tailored individually. communication is very important. Outside of work, I love hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.

My mission is to teach patients preventative measures to avoid disease processes.

It is a privilege to help patients understand their disease processes and actively participate in their care and decision making.

I came to medicine from the business world, and it has been incredibly rewarding to focus my energy and abilities on helping people who are acutely ill. I believe that really listening to patients and their families is the key to providing exceptional care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young children.

I graduated from Tufts University and received my medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. I completed my surgical and urological residencies at Massachusetts General Hospital. I am certified by the American Board of Urology and I strive to provide the highest quality patient care in a warm compassionate environment.

My mission is to promote patient advocacy by giving my patients a voice, protecting their rights, and ensuring their safety.

I went into anesthesia because of a positive experience I had while undergoing surgery. I felt like a person, not a number or specimen. It's that personal touch that I strive to provide to each patient I'm honored to care for. My family is my rock; my friends are my power; my patients are my passion.
