I believe completely in treating each of my patients as an individual. I believe that really listening can be just as important as any physical exam or test. Outside of my work in medicine I am a musician and I enjoy reading and spending time with my dog.

An admission to the hospital can be a very stressful time, no matter what the diagnosis is. While treating a patient's condition, I believe education and communication is very important. I enjoy spending time with my patients and their family, discussing their condition, and developing a treatment plan. Outside of work, my biggest joy is my family. 

I am a dedicated and patient focused physician with comprehensive experience in hospital settings. I hold a great regard for detail, accuracy and follow through and can make decisions in a fast paced and unpredictable environment. I value communication with patient, their families, my colleagues and support staff to provide very best care for our patients.

My philosophy is to engage patient is their own care.

I completed my residency at Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, MA, often caring for underserved populations and immigrants.  I believe in engaging the patient in their own care and understanding any difficulty they may have in caring for themselves.

My goal is to care for our patients as we would our loved ones: with expertise, compassion, and respect.

I grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from University of Chicago before moving to Boston for medical training at Boston University, followed by residency at Boston Medical Center.

I have been a hospitalist attending physician at South Shore Hospital since 2012. I married in 2006 and have two girls.

My journey to becoming a physician has led me not only to multiple states, but also abroad to Haiti and Jordan on medical mission trips. I am continually learning from my patients and their experiences. I translate this clinical knowledge to all of my new patients. 

Outside of work I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family

I enjoy the challenge of the diagnostic process of medicine, which is one of the many reasons I have chosen to work as a nocturnist, which is a hospital-based physician who works overnight. In my free time, I've been known to read books about the American Revolution and Colonial Period, or attend hard rock/metal concerts. Also, '90s music is in my head all of the time. 

My mission is to diagnose, educate and treat patients about their orthopedic conditions.

Whether the time we spend together is short or long term, I strive to ensure all patients understand the nature of their conditions, and I look forward to see their progression and improvement throughout our journey together. I was born and raised in Weymouth, because of this, I am excited and honored to serve the community I grew up in.

My treatment philosophy is to empower patients to be as healthy as they can be through a holistic approach.

I want to help patients feel the best they can. I believe focusing on nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene, and doing things that make you happy make a huge difference in people’s health. Listening to what patients have to say is of utmost importance. I have been described as a good listener by some of my patients.
