My mission is to relieve pain and suffering by healing patients' wounds as fast as possible.

I have been practicing plastic surgery with an emphasis on complex wounds since 1999.  In addition to providing advanced wound care, surgical treatment and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, I am passionate about educating the next generation of physicians and participating in research that will transform the science of wound care. As the Research Director, I coordinate and lead clinical trials of potential new wound  therapies, providing the opportunity for our patients to participate in their own community.

I believe completely in treating each of my patients as an individual. I believe that really listening can be just as important as any physical exam or test. Outside of my work in medicine I am a musician and I enjoy reading and spending time with my dog.

It is a privilege to help people and establish long-term relationships with my patients. I believe that everyone's medical care should be individually tailored. We all have unique characteristics that need to be considered when deciding a treatment plan. Communication is paramount. Outside of work, I love rock climbing and surfing; however, most importantly I love spending time with my family.

I chose to become a primary care physician because I cherish the long-term relationships I establish with my patients. I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages and families at all stages of their lives. I believe listening is as important as speaking. I see my role as an educator, sharing my knowledge and helping patients translate that into healthy habits for the prevention and management of chronic illness. 

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling near and far with my husband and three children.

With compassionate care, I love to help people come out of their suffering. I believe that every individual is different so we should respect them and treat appropriately. Good communication is always very crucial. During my free time I love to listen music, play guitar. Also, I like meditation, yoga/ pranayam. However, most importantly I love spending time with my family.

As a family medicine trained hospitalist, I aim to maintain a coordinative approach to the care I give. I prioritize patient education in my treatment philosophy.

I grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from University of Chicago before moving to Boston for medical training at Boston University, followed by residency at Boston Medical Center.

I have been a hospitalist attending physician at South Shore Hospital since 2012. I married in 2006 and have two girls.

I enjoy taking care of my patients and including their families and the entire treatment team in the process.

I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. I received my BA in Biology at State University of New York at Buffalo and my MD from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. I did my residency in Medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT. I was recognized in Boston Magazine's 2017 Top Doctors list. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to classical music, traveling, running, and bicycling.
