I am originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I practiced in Quincy for 30 years before coming to South Shore Medical Center in 2002. I am experienced in abdominal surgery, trauma, and management of skin and soft tissue tumors. 

My mission is to engage patients to participate in their medical management.

I enjoy establishing long-term relationships with my patients to enhance their participation in their plan of care.

Developing healthy, trusting relationships with my patients is a passion of mine. Preventative medicine is key to a long, healthy life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my french bulldog, Lilo, playing video games, hiking, traveling, and kayaking.

My mission is to educate and support patients to become knowledgeable and interactive in their medical management.

It is a privilege to encourage open communication and establish a trusting relationship with my patients.  I aim to empower active participation, fostering a more favorable outcome throughout their medical journey.

I developed an interest in pediatrics early in my medical career and continue to love working with children. I have the privilege of getting to know patients well by following them through infancy, childhood, and adolescence. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling and exploring Boston.

My goal is to care for our patients as we would our loved ones: with expertise, compassion, and respect.

I grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from University of Chicago before moving to Boston for medical training at Boston University, followed by residency at Boston Medical Center.

I have been a hospitalist attending physician at South Shore Hospital since 2012. I married in 2006 and have two girls.

I enjoy the challenge of the diagnostic process of medicine, which is one of the many reasons I have chosen to work as a nocturnist, which is a hospital-based physician who works overnight. In my free time, I've been known to read books about the American Revolution and Colonial Period, or attend hard rock/metal concerts. Also, '90s music is in my head all of the time.
