I was born in New York City to immigrant Latino parents. Yes, I root for the Yankees, of course!

Outside of work, I enjoy physical fitness and spending time with my family.

I started the PA program at Northeastern University in October of 1988. Since first picking up a stethoscope, I have loved being a PA. Many of my patients have shown courage and dignity at a most vulnerable time in their lives, often with good cheer. 

Great joys in my life include grand babies, my chubby cat, dog walks and kayaking at sunset. My passion project is making stained glass panels which feature birds, fish and animals in their natural habitat.

Having sustained a major trauma or having undergone any kind of surgery (major or minor) can be extremely stressful. I often find myself treating patients and talking with families when they are often feeling at their worst. This is the time when I feel my warm personality and compassion can be the biggest contributors to alleviating some of that stress and anxiety. Outside of my practice, I prefer to spend time with my family enjoying the splendors of the South Shore.

My mission is to treat the patient in front of me with compassion, dignity, and respect.

I believe that medical care needs to be tailored to the patient in front of me. I believe that taking the time to talk with the patient about their medical concerns is just as important as ordering tests and imaging. Taking the time to listen to the patient can go a long way to developing a respectful, trusted relationship, which can have a very positive outcome for patients. Outside of work I like rock climbing, hiking, and traveling.

I am a Cum Laude graduate of Tufts University, and I earned my medical degree at the Tufts University School of Medicine. I completed my surgical residency at New York Medical College, and my urological residency at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. I came to South Shore Urology on completion of his residency. I am certified with the American Board of Urology and I am passionate about providing high quality patient care in a compassionate environment.

Establishing a good patient-physician relationship is crucial to help provide the best care. I believe in allowing ample time in a visit to listen to my patients' needs and thoroughly explain their diagnosis and treatment plan. Most podiatric issues can be treated with aggressive conservative therapy, although when surgical intervention is necessary, I will communicate that to the patient in a direct and concise manner. 

I strive to build a space where patients feel safe to discuss their health concerns and engage in shared decision-making.

Prior to joining South Shore Health, I had the privilege to train at UMass Family Medicine Residency and complete an additional year of fellowship to also care for patients living with HIV/viral hepatitis at the Family Health Center of Worcester.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, running, gardening, and camping/hiking.

My passion for family medicine is rooted in the ability to take part in the growth and development of my patients as they reach milestones in their lives.

As a family nurse practitioner, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to build connections with my patients throughout their lifetime. Being a strong advocate of patient-centered care, I am committed to supporting my patients in a collaborative manner in order to help them meet and exceed their health goals. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time with family.

I strive to educate patients about their health conditions in order to best include them as part of the treatment team.

Brendan has spent a large portion of his career practicing in Primary Care following graduation from MCPHS University in 2014.  Having grown up in Massachusetts, as well as living and working in Southeastern Mass he has formed close relationships with his patients as they are frequently his neighbors, mechanics, former teachers and the like. From these relationships, he has learned the importance of community as part of a medical treatment plan, and this has now become an important aspect to the way he practices medicine. He is very excited to extend his medical career into the South Shore Health Community. 

My mission is to give the same care to my patients as I would want for my family or myself.    

I was born and raised in the Boston area.  After a long period of schooling and training across the country (New Hampshire, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania), I have been honored to return home to take good care of my people!  When not fixing retinas, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and three children.
