I believe that working with hematology and oncology patients is a calling and it is truly an honor to be a part of each patient’s care. While we do not have the same visibility to the patient as their primary care provider or surgeon, pathologists are an integral part of every patient's health care team, assuring that their physicians have accurate and timely pathology and laboratory data on which to act. I received my undergraduate degree in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of Arts. Working as an actress afforded me the opportunity to travel professionally and experience life as a performing artist in New York City, Los Angeles and London. While working in show business was certainly exciting, I found my true calling working as a physician partnering with parents to help provide the best medical care for their children.
When not at work, I love spending time with my husband and two children and enjoy singing when I get the chance.
