My passion for family medicine is rooted in the ability to take part in the growth and development of my patients as they reach milestones in their lives.

As a family nurse practitioner, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to build connections with my patients throughout their lifetime. Being a strong advocate of patient-centered care, I am committed to supporting my patients in a collaborative manner in order to help them meet and exceed their health goals. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time with family.

My mission is to relieve pain and suffering by healing patients' wounds as fast as possible.

I have been practicing plastic surgery with an emphasis on complex wounds since 1999.  In addition to providing advanced wound care, surgical treatment and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, I am passionate about educating the next generation of physicians and participating in research that will transform the science of wound care. As the Research Director, I coordinate and lead clinical trials of potential new wound  therapies, providing the opportunity for our patients to participate in their own community.

I strive to provide excellent care to my patients and to help them understand their conditions through education.

As a rheumatologist, my goal is to take care of my patients as individuals and to work together with them to find the most effective treatment plan. I am passionate about helping patients with rheumatologic conditions find relief with the therapies we have available today. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

It is a privilege to treat patients compassionately in our community. I strive for excellence, open communication, accessibility, and long-term relationships. Outside of work, I especially love spending time with my family, swimming, bicycling, tennis, golf, sailing, photography, and magic.

Being a physician is an honor and a privilege I have enjoyed since graduating from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1979.  As my patients know I am interested in your life, your passions and the Orthopaedic issues that frustrate you and how I might be of assistance to you.  Surgery is not always a solution.

I take care of newborn infants and their great grandmothers.  In an era of sub-specialization, I am the "silver haired" General Orthopaedist but have maintained my surgical skills and remain confident in my abilities.  I have been fortunate to have treated multiple generations of my friends and neighbors here on the South Shore and work in a hospital committed to clinical excellence and compassionate care.
