It was a magical autumn evening under the stars as more than 400 turned out to support the Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health at this year's Moonlight & Miracles Gala.

In what is sure to be one of the most talked about signature events on the South Shore this year, the 18th annual South Shore Health Moonlight & Miracles Gala will be a DRIVE-IN event hosted by radio and TV personality, Billy Costa.

Despite 2020’s numerous challenges, attendees of this signature event delivered on their promise to help people with substance use disorders and behavioral health needs.

South Shore Health hosted its 17th annual Moonlight & Miracles Gala and raised close to $760,000 in support of Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services. The total tops last year’s fundraising goal by more than $150,000!

Dr. Allen Smith, MD, MS, President and CEO of South Shore Health, and Pamela O’Leary, Chair of the South Shore Health Board of Directors, along with other senior leaders, recently welcomed Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Secretary Kate Walsh for a tour of South Shore Hospital.

Two programs within the Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health will transition to a new, spacious location at 797 Main Street, Weymouth. Learn more about the new location of the bridge program and perinatal behavioral health program.

The October 21 signature event will raise money for The Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health.

Made possible by a nearly $142,000 grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, these modified rooms are calming, controlled spaces aimed at reducing stress, agitation, and anxiety for patients, particularly those who are neurodivergent or on the autism spectrum.
