South Shore Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), part of South Shore Health, has earned re-accreditation from the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, reaffirming its commitment to quality care, ethical business practices, and excellence in home-based services.
For more than a century, South Shore VNA has provided compassionate care to patients throughout the region, offering skilled nursing, rehabilitative therapies, medical social work, and home health aide services.
Re-accreditation from the Home Care Alliance indicates that South Shore VNA continues to meet rigorous standards designed to promote quality services, ethical business standards, and best practices in home care.
"We are proud to once again earn this distinction, which reflects the dedication and expertise of our entire VNA team," said Elizabeth Sulger, Vice President of Home and Community Care at South Shore Health. "Every day, our nurses, therapists, social workers, and home health aides deliver exceptional care that helps patients heal, recover, and maintain their independence in the comfort of their own homes."
South Shore VNA is among a select group of Massachusetts home care organizations that have successfully demonstrated compliance with the Home Care Alliance's accreditation standards.
The Alliance, which represents approximately 180 home care and home health agencies across the Commonwealth, launched its Accreditation Program to spotlight quality, integrity, and best practices in an industry without formal licensure.
"South Shore VNA has long been a trusted resource for patients and families across our region," said Allen L. Smith, MD, MS, President and CEO of South Shore Health. "This re-accreditation reinforces our commitment to delivering safe, reliable, patient-centered care and highlights the exceptional work of our VNA team."
