South Shore Hospital Named One of the Best Hospitals in the Boston Metro Area by U.S. News & World Report

South Shore Hospital, part of South Shore Health, has been ranked among the Top 10 Best Hospitals in the Boston Metro area and 11th out of 99 hospitals statewide in the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings. 

This prestigious recognition highlights South Shore Hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality, advanced care with kindness and compassion to patients across the South Shore. 

In the latest rankings, South Shore Hospital was also recognized as a Best Regional Hospital earning “High Performing” distinctions in the adult specialty of Urology and in 10 procedures and conditions, including heart failure, stroke, and orthopedic care.

Hospitals receiving a “Best” designation by U.S. News & World Report demonstrate excellence in critical areas such as clinical outcomes, nursing care, patient experience, and the adoption of advanced medical technologies.
