South Shore Health Laboratory & Respiratory Teams Achieve Best-Ever CAP Inspection
South Shore Health is thrilled to announce that our dedicated Laboratory and Respiratory professionals have once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care.
Their hard work, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to the highest standards recently earned us our best inspection visit yet from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the premier accrediting agency for clinical laboratories.
“The CAP Inspection is a rigorous process that evaluates our laboratory and respiratory services against a comprehensive set of quality standards. By surpassing these benchmarks, we have not only showcased our proficiency in diagnostic testing and patient care but also demonstrated our commitment to continuous improvement,” says Bernadette C. Ambiong-Llaga, BSMT, Interim Executive Director and Laboratory Quality, Regulatory Compliance, and Phlebotomy Services Manager.
This accomplishment reflects the tireless efforts and expertise of each team member, who operate in a constant state of preparation and quality improvement in anticipation of these regular inspections.
The accomplishment is even more remarkable in the context of the sustained high patient volumes and equipment shortages seen over the past couple years.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our lab and respiratory teams for their exceptional performance and unwavering dedication to ensuring quality test results for every patient, every time.
It is through their hard work, collaboration, and passion for delivering the best possible care that we have achieved this significant milestone.
