South Shore Health and Boston Children’s Hospital Expand Collaboration to Offer Pediatric Specialty Care and Surgery

South Shore Health and Boston Children’s Hospital have expanded their more than 20-year collaboration.
Boston Children’s Physicians Norwell has opened within South Shore Medical Center’s Norwell location, increasing access to specialty pediatric care for families across the South Shore in the following areas:
- Adolescent Medicine
- Allergy
- Cardiology
- Endocrinology
- Gastroenterology
- General Surgery
- Gynecology
- Nephrology
- Pulmonology
- Rheumatology
- Urology
For over two decades, South Shore Health and Boston Children’s have worked together to bring exceptional care to the region’s youngest patients—from South Shore Hospital’s highly regarded NICU, our Pediatric Inpatient Unit, and our dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department.
Our new expanded collaboration will provide more comprehensive specialty care in a convenient setting close to home.
In addition, Boston Children’s surgeons from general surgery, gynecology, and urology will perform elective surgeries at South Shore Hospital, ensuring that families in the region can access advanced surgical care locally. This offering builds upon existing general elective surgeries that have taken place in the past.
