The SAMBOX contains naloxone, a breather barrier, and instructions on how to properly administer naloxone.

We’re proud to collaborate with the Weymouth Prevention Alliance to add a SAMBOX at the Grayken Center for Treatment, located at 797 Main Street in Weymouth!

This SAMBOX, also known as a NaloxBox, contains vital tools that could be used to save a life in the event of an overdose, including naloxone (commonly known by its brand name, NARCAN®), gloves, and a breather barrier.

The SAMBOX is located outside of the building’s entrance and is publicly accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The box is checked daily and restocked as needed.

In addition to the SAMBOX located at 797 Main Street, we have worked closely with the Weymouth Health Department to help place and stock SAMBOXes in other locations across Weymouth.

These public dispensing boxes are an important part of local harm reduction efforts. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with our community partners to make SAMBOXes even more widely available.

If you have questions about the SAMBOX or about being trained in using naloxone, please contact the Grayken Center for Treatment at 781-624-5065.

Additional information on preventing overdose and dispensing naloxone can be found at Prescribe to Prevent and Mass.gov.
