Congratulations to Lisa J Gould, MD, PhD, who received the prestigious Robert A Warriner III Award from the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) at their recent virtual town hall!
This recognition is given to select individuals within the wound care profession who exhibit profound understanding of the complexities of the discipline and have also exhibited a genuine concern for the well-being and advancement of others.
“This esteemed honor is a testament to Dr. Gould’s exceptional character, unwavering passion, and steadfast commitment to the field, mirroring the exemplary traits embodied by Dr. Warriner himself,” explained Matthew Davis, RN, BSN, CWON, CFCN, AAWC Awards Committee Chair.
Dr. Gould has practiced plastic surgery with an emphasis on complex wounds since 1999.
In addition to providing advanced wound care, surgical treatment, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, she is passionate about educating the next generation of physicians and participating in research that helps transform the science of wound care.
With this award, Dr. Gould joins an illustrious group of individuals who have left an indelible mark on the AAWC and the wider wound care community.
