Celebrating Excellence: Patty Grazioso, RN Honored by Boston Children’s Hospital
We’re proud to share that Emergency Department nurse Patty Grazioso, RN has been honored with the Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) Community Nursing Excellence Award, a prestigious recognition for her exceptional dedication to pediatric emergency care at South Shore Hospital.
Each year, BCH’s Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine recognizes outstanding faculty and staff who exemplify excellence in clinical care, teaching, research, and quality improvement.
Traditionally, the Nursing Excellence Award has been reserved for BCH Emergency Department nurses. This year the awards expanded to include a Community Nursing Excellence Award, highlighting the exceptional care delivered across BCH’s broader network of affiliated sites.
“Patty is the epitome of outstanding nursing care. She is dedicated to her patients, their families, and her colleagues. Knowing I get to work with her brings a smile to my face every shift”, says Mark Waltzman, MD, Chief, South Shore Hospital's Department of Pediatrics.
Patty, who resides in Abington, was selected from among all BCH network site nurses for her outstanding dedication to pediatric patients and her contributions to high-quality emergency care at South Shore Hospital.
She received the award last week at the BCH Division of Emergency Medicine Annual Awards Ceremony in Boston, presented by Jason Fischer, MD, Medical Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at South Shore Hospital. ED Nurse Manager Jen Green joined her at the event to celebrate the achievement.
Congratulations, Patty, and thank you for the incredible care you provide to our youngest patients and their families!
