Alison Gustafson, MD Appointed Chair of Anesthesiology at South Shore Health

South Shore Health is pleased to announce that Alison Gustafson, MD has been appointed Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology.
As Chair, Dr. Gustafson will oversee all aspects of anesthesiology services across South Shore Health, including a department that features more than three dozen anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), and anesthesia techs.
"Dr. Gustafson is uniquely qualified to lead our Department of Anesthesiology into the future," said Jason Tracy, MD, MBA, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer - South Shore Health. "She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of anesthesia providers and remains actively involved in professional development initiatives."

Dr. Gustafson joined South Shore Health in 2000. She lives in her hometown of Hingham with her husband, two children, and her Black Lab.
