I chose to become a primary care physician because I cherish the long-term relationships I establish with my patients. I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages and families at all stages of their lives. I believe listening is as important as speaking. I see my role as an educator, sharing my knowledge and helping patients translate that into healthy habits for the prevention and management of chronic illness.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling near and far with my husband and three children.

I returned to the South Shore area since this is home and have been been fortunate to raise my family and to practice here since 2002. As a medical student, I was unsure what my clinical focus would be. Once I saw my first delivery, it was clear that this was my future. I started my internship and residency training here in Boston. After moving to California and spending several years practicing there, I knew I wanted to return to Massachusetts. I have been at South Shore Hospital for nearly ten years now and am grateful to work with the women of the South Shore. After many years practicing both Obstetrics and Gynecology, I realized my true love was the Birthing Unit and transitioned to a Laborist position. I am privileged every day to be part of something so amazing and love that I get to share in such an important family experience.
My treatment philosophy and ultimate goal is to collaborate with families to achieve the best birth experience while helping to ensure the wellbeing of mom and baby.

My philosophy is to have each patient feel safe and comfortable during their visits as we work together to obtain optimal women's health.
I enjoy seeing patients on an ongoing basis and strive to develop long-term relationships that will allow me and my nurse practitioners to tailor our medical care for each individual patient's needs. We see patients in a setting that tries to foster a relaxed and friendly approach to patient care.
I am certified in menopause management as well as robotic surgery. I value being able to offer women information to assist them with transition through menopause. In addition, I have worked hard to make sure that women in the South Shore area have access to minimally invasive surgery and all it's benefits by offering robotic surgery to my patients. My nurse practitioners are especially adept at handling the needs of youth with their contraceptive needs, etc.
