My mission is to make my patients feel more at ease and provide excellent care throughout the perioperative process. 

After college I worked on an ambulance and quickly learned that I enjoyed caring for my patients in acute settings.  Similarly as an anesthesiologist, I like the immediate good I can do for people.  What I enjoy most though, is hopefully making people feel less anxious and more emotionally supported through stressful situations.

Being a member of South Shore Health anesthesia department is personally and professionally rewarding. I believe having high standards of care allows for a safe and effective patient experience.

I received my undergraduate nursing degree from Boston College and my masters in anesthesia from Northeastern University. Practicing in the Boston area has been important to me as my children grow. We enjoy our friends and family as well as skiing, soccer and the outdoors.

A hospitalization is often wrought with difficult news and decisions; it is my honor to care for patients at these times. I enjoy working with a care team, to deliver high-quality care. Above all, I try to foster sincere relationships with patients, focusing on what is most important to each person.   

My practice style encourages patient and parent involvement in problem-solving and health maintenance. I enjoy meeting new patients and getting to know them on a personal level, so to better tailor treatment plans to each child's unique needs. Listening to parents and patients is paramount to my office visits. I try to create a fun and stress-free experience for all.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my children, especially at the beach! 

I have been providing medical and surgical foot and ankle care to the greater South Shore community since 1996. I first joined the medical staff of South Shore Hospital in 1997 and have been working with South Shore Medical Center since 2004. Some of my clinical interests include Podiatric Surgery and Sports Medicine of the foot and ankle.

I look forward to helping patients and members of our community navigate unexpected and stressful health events with extra attention to the patient and their most immediate loved ones, family, and friends. 

I look forward to providing care and service to the community that my wife and I have called home since 2010. We have two beautiful children who lovingly occupy the majority of our free time when not providing healthcare at South Shore Health. 

Working in pediatrics is truly a rewarding experience. I have been humbled in my career as families have trusted me as part of their child's medical team. I am constantly in awe of the curiosity, perceptiveness, and resilience of the pediatric patient. I love educating patients and families and learning from them as well. My current hobbies include chasing after my two little girls, spending time with family and friends, and giving my English Bulldog Bella lots of belly rubs!

My focus is to provide a trusting environment for my patients and promote healthy habits for a high-quality life. 

I have spent the past seven years in acute care. I look forward to building a lasting rapport with my patients: to build relationships with my patients and to have the ability to individualize their care. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and being on the water. When the sun is out, you can find all of us swimming and enjoying time on our boat.

Surgery can be a vulnerable time for patients. As an anesthesia provider, I find it rewarding to help people feel at ease prior to their procedures through listening and collaboration. Ultimately, no two anesthetics are the same, and having the opportunity to work with my patients to create a plan that tailors to their needs is what makes anesthesia so fulfilling. Outside of work, I enjoy running, gardening, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. 

I am Director of GK Dermatology, PC, in Weymouth, Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Brown University, and Professor of Dermatology at Jundiaí Medical School, Brazil. My practice focuses on Medical Dermatology, Phototherapy, and Laser Surgery. I have authored more than 100 articles and chapters and edited 2 monographs and 3 books.
