Breastfeeding Support

South Shore Health encourages and supports breastfeeding for your baby. If your baby requires supplementation, we offer pasteurized human donor milk as well as formula.

At South Shore Hospital, each member of our nursing staff is trained to help you establish breastfeeding. Should you require support, our lactation consultants are available to provide additional help to you, even after you go home. We provide a warm line for questions and concerns after discharge and host lactation support groups three times a week for new mothers.

We are proud to offer a wide range of support services for breastfeeding mothers.
