Boston Marathon
The South Shore Health Foundation is proud to partner with the 2024 Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program for the 128th Boston Marathon®!
Team South Shore Health runners will lace up on Monday, April 15, 2024 and raise funds for either behavioral health and substance use disorder programs or cancer care services on the South Shore.
TEAM BENEFITS

- Individualized training program designed by a professional coach from the Marathon Coalition
- Weekly training runs every Saturday on the Marathon course with the Marathon Coalition

- Pre- and post-race additional amenities
*Race and training program are subject to modifications, postponements, or cancellation pending evolving CDC recommendations, state guidelines, or Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) decisions. Per the B.A.A all athletes may be subject to vaccination requirements and/or negative testing results in order to participate in the 128th Boston Marathon. The B.A.A. has the right to modify its protocols and procedures related to COVID-19 mitigation and public health.
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY
Team South Shore Health runners can choose between two inspiring programs that benefit our South Shore community. Please refer to the application for fundraising minimums and requirements.
- The Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health connects with residents through our Bridge Program, Perinatal Behavioral Health Program, and through office-based addiction treatment at South Shore Medical Center in Norwell.
- The Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health offers advanced treatments and clinical trials right here on the South Shore.
