Primary Care

A primary care physician (PCP) provides long-term management of your health. Primary care doctors help you stay healthy and diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses. Your primary care physician serves as the leader of your medical team, communicating and coordinating your care with other members of your clinical team. It is important to have your care directed by a doctor who knows and understands all of your medical needs and recommends immunizations, screenings and other tests that are important to your health.

South Shore Health System has primary care physicians to meet the health needs of you and your family through every stage and age. Our affiliated primary care physicians are based in the community and located conveniently throughout the region.

South Shore Medical Center joined South Shore Health System in 2015. South Shore Medical Center is a multi-specialty practice with more than 100 providers in Norwell, Kingston and the Women’s Center of South Shore Medical Center in Weymouth.

Our Primary Care Physicians who work within our Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics departments can assist our patients in accessing additional specialty and ancillary services when necessary for their care, many of which are offered onsite. Each of our locations offers on-site lab services, with radiology services also available in our Norwell and Kingston locations. In addition, South Shore Medical Center offers evening and weekend hours for our patients.
