The Cardiovascular Center at South Shore Health specializes in the prevention, detection, treatment and rehabilitation of heart disease. Our program uses the latest technologies to treat a variety of conditions including heart attack, coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and peripheral arterial disease.
Our Approach
Our seasoned care team includes more than 30 of the region’s most skilled cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons. In addition to these seasoned physicians, you will be supported by experienced and certified cardiac nurses, physical and occupational therapists, home infusion nurses, social workers, and certified home health aides.
South Shore Hospital is home to Southeastern Massachusetts’ only hospital with 24-hour access to primary angioplasty, a life-saving heart treatment, and the region’s busiest cardiac catheterization lab.
South Shore Hospital received the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline® Gold Receiving Quality Achievement Award. This award is given to hospitals that follow evidenced-based guidelines for prompt treatment of heart attacks, beginning with the 9-1-1 call and continuing through hospital treatment.
