Each month, South Shore Health gives the Colleague Spotlight Award to a colleague who demonstrates exemplary behaviors, actions, and/or work practices that reflect the values of South Shore Health.

We're pleased to announce that Emily Stamaris, BS, RDMS, RVT is the recipient of the Colleague Spotlight Award for December!

Emily is an ultrasonographer at South Shore Hospital who was born deaf but has persevered through all challenges to provide outstanding care to her patients and support for her fellow colleagues, all with a positive attitude.

"Emily is an extremely hard worker, super well-rounded," said Tracy O'Hare, RTR, RDMS, RVT, Ultrasound Supervisor at South Shore Health. "She's worked in general ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, as well as maternal fetal medicine ultrasound."

While the pandemic and subsequent masking have been challenging for Emily, who reads lips, she has refused to let those challenges slow her down.
