Each month, South Shore Health gives the Colleague Spotlight Award to a colleague who demonstrates exemplary behaviors, actions, and/or work practices that reflect the values of South Shore Health.

We're pleased to announce that Carolyn Marshman, RN is the recipient of the Colleague Spotlight Award for November!

Carolyn is a Clinical Nurse Coordinator at South Shore Hospital who has been with us for more than 30 years.

Carolyn is known as a kind, welcoming colleague, one who goes out of her way to be friendly and helpful to patients, visitors, and fellow colleagues.

"Carolyn is such a positive presence on the unit," said Nurse Manager Peter Casella, MSN, BS, RN, CCRN. "She's extremely friendly and welcoming to all...whether they're on the unit, floating, travelers, visitors, or families. Carolyn has a great heart."

Among her colleagues, Carolyn is known as someone who frequently goes above and beyond for her patients — as a recent example with one long-term patient illustrates.
