Primary Care

Primary care providers at South Shore Medical Center provide care at every age and stage of life. Primary care physicians, physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) provide preventive care, guidance on how to live a healthy lifestyle, and ensure you get immunizations and screenings when you need them.

Primary care providers also diagnose and treat common conditions and assess the severity of your medical issues. If necessary, your primary care team will refer you to specialists and will help you manage chronic diseases, including hypertension and diabetes.

Most importantly, your primary care team is at the center of all of the care you receive, keeping track of your treatments and medications and communicating with other doctors you see to ensure they have a complete picture of your health.

Our Approach

Our care providers work within our Family MedicineInternal Medicine, and Pediatric departments. Your care team also includes experienced physician assistants and nurse practitioners who work As One to keep you and your family healthy.
