Changes to South Shore Health's Cash Collection Policy

Effective August 1, 2022, South Shore Health will no longer accept cash for patient payments and donor contributions.

This change applies to all fundraising initiatives, events, and programs sponsored by South Shore Health and all patient care locations - including South Shore Medical Center offices, South Shore Home Care, hospital-based clinics, and the Emergency Department.

Our goal is to have a standard business practice across South Shore Health that will ensure secure, accurate, and timely processing of patient payments and donor contributions.

Checks, credit and debit cards, and mobile apps such as Google Pay and Apple Pay are all accepted forms of payment/donation.

Cash sales will continue at the South Shore Hospital dining room, café, and gift shop.
