South Shore Health and WCVB Launch One Healthy Boston

If you're a regular viewer of Channel 5, odds are you've seen some familiar faces recently.

Earlier this month, South Shore Health and WCVB TV launched an exciting new initiative known as One Healthy Boston. Our organizations will work together to educate and guide residents of the South Shore and Greater Boston as they strive toward healthier lifestyles.

Each month, our healthcare experts will provide insights and tips on a variety of health topics, both on-air and online.

Shareable content will be available on One Healthy Boston's website, as well as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Our goal is to empower and educate people in all aspects of health, wellness, fitness and preventive care.

Our organizations each have a rich history of being deeply committed to the communities we serve. Channel 5 went on the air over 40 years ago, and has kept its initial promise to provide more local programming and public service than any other television station in the nation. South Shore Health has evolved over the past 96 years, from a community hospital to a community healthcare system, which is growing and evolving to meet the needs of patients and families in an ever-changing healthcare landscape.

Our mutual goal is to build on our strong legacies together, and grow and maintain a healthy, thriving community that draws others in and looks to South Shore Health for guidance and expertise.
