Mango Salsa Recipe

This zesty salsa is the perfect way to spice up a summer cookout! During the warmer months, many people enjoy snacking on nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables because they are light and flavorful. The nutrition team at South Shore Health recommends this recipe, which combines mango with plenty of fresh ingredients to make a delicious and healthy summer dip.

Peppers, cucumbers, and celery are excellent choices for dipping into the salsa. Why not make it a topping on a favorite lean meat, such as grilled fish or chicken? Get creative with how you choose to serve it, and we hope you enjoy!


1 mango, peeled and diced

½ cup peeled, diced cucumber

1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno

1/3 cup diced red onion

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/3 cup roughly chopped cilantro leaves

Salt (optional) and pepper



Combine the mango, cucumber, jalapeno, red onion, lime juice and cilantro leaves and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to add flavor.
