Family Integrated Care NICU App
South Shore Health is the first hospital or health system in New England to offer a Family Integrated Care (FICare) mobile app to serve as a comprehensive guide for your child’s entire family as you navigate the journey from birth, hospitalization, home, and beyond.
The FICare app hosts educational videos and quizzes for parents as they learn skills from our caregivers as part of the FICare program at South Shore Hospital.
The app also provides links to helpful tools, such as:
- Diaper log
- Weight tracker
- Feeding tracker
- Lactation (pumping) tracker
- Kangaroo Care timer
- And much more
This app was developed by South Shore Health’s neonatal intensive care team, with direction from parents of former NICU patients.
We hope this app will empower our families as they learn how to care for their preterm newborns.
