Bio
Originally from the Philadelphia area, I came to Boston for college and medical school at Harvard. Since graduating from medical school, I have worked as a surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital for the past 30 years. I currently serve as Associate Chairman of the Department of Surgery for Brigham Health, working on clinical operation functions. My clinical passion is nutrition, and this has led me to focus on helping people who are both undernourished and over nourished. This means designing care plans for those who are underweight and need intravenous nutrition and operating on overweight patients (bariatric surgery) who would like to lose weight. I came to South Shore Hospital to expand bariatric surgery to the broader Boston Metropolitan area and have been happy to work with a great multidisciplinary team to provide bariatric care for people who live in the South Shore area.
