I am interested in factors that impact the safe delivery of care and the variability of practice and outcomes. I have used my background in psychology and aviation to investigate these topics from new perspectives.

I have dedicated my time to standardizing care, developing protocols, creating care pathways, minimizing variations in provider practice, and program development. I have been working hard transitioning the traditional inpatient management problems to the outpatient care setting, adding additional outpatient services while decreasing direct and indirect medical expense all in a compressive division-wide effort to improve the safety and value of care provided. I am dedicated to the creation of a regional value-based model of comprehensive, integrated hand and upper extremity surgery.
