Outpatient Cardiac Rehab Services Suspended

Due to the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, South Shore Hospital will be suspending all outpatient cardiac rehabilitation services until further notice.

This change is effective Wednesday, March 25.

All patients with appointments will be contacted by members of their care team to reschedule.

Patients who are currently enrolled in the cardiac rehabilitation program will not be discharged; instead, patients will be placed on a “hold” status, and will be able to continue treatment when cardiac rehabilitation services resume.

In the meantime, patients are encouraged to remain as active as possible within the guidelines of their treatment plan.

Patients who have questions about their appointment status or have interest in exploring home-based programs through a mobile app can call 781-624-6731.

New patients/physician referrals

Physicians looking to refer patients into the cardiac rehabilitation program should continue to use existing referral processes.

New patients will be placed into the referral queue and will have appointments scheduled when operations resume.
