2019 Kickin Up Country

It was an evening of dinner, line dancing and vying for a chance to win fabulous raffle prizes in support of the Home Care Division at South Shore Health! On Saturday, April 27, more than 200 cowboys and cowgirls came together “As One” to attend the 16th annual Kickin’ Up Country for Home Care event.

This event is the signature fundraiser held by The Friends of South Shore Health and, this year more than $31,000 was raised!

Held at the Pembroke Country Club, all proceeds help support the Home Care Division of South Shore Health, which provides hospice, visiting nurse and aide services.

“This is such a fun-filled evening,” said Jann Ahern, RN, Vice President, Home and Community Care Division at South Shore Health. “We are truly grateful for the community’s charitable support of home care services on the South Shore. Thank you to all of our sponsors and attendees.”

The evening began with a “Wet-Your-Whistle” hour followed by a spectacular buffet dinner and desserts by Montilio’s, Veronica’s Sweetcakes and South Shore Health’s Dining Services. Beautiful centerpieces by Hartstone Flowers helped set-the-stage for a fun-filled evening.

Throughout the night, guests filled the dance floor and enjoyed live music by the renowned Jack Ash Band, while Durf the DJ kept things going between band sets. One highlight of the evening was a country-western themed photo booth where guests could show off their best cowgirl and cowboy smiles!
