Diabetes Education Classes (Thursday Series)

Event Contact Information
- Patient Education
This helpful educational series meets on the first four Thursdays of every month and focuses on helping patients better understand diabetes.
Classes are held in-person at South Shore Medical Center Norwell.
A virtual option, held on Wednesday mornings, is also available.
The class will be a series of four sessions:
- Week 1: What is Diabetes?
- Week 2: Nutrition for Diabetes
- Week 3: Medication and Monitoring
- Week 4: Reducing Risks of Diabetes
Admission is rolling: patients can enter the series at any point, and can attend one week or all four weeks. We recommend patients attend all four classes.
Patients will need an individual assessment by Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) prior to starting the classes.
The cost of these classes is billable to insurance. Patients will be billed any outstanding copays or costs that are due.
Registration is required. To register, please call the Patient Education Line at 781-261-4758.
