About This Event

Our engaging, hands-on, prenatal newborn care class will prepare you for parenting your baby for the first six weeks after birth. Using a doll model, you will practice the basics of diapering, umbilical cord care, and proper infant positioning. A local pediatrician will do a brief presentation and will answer any questions you may have. You will learn proven methods for comforting your crying baby; the latest guidelines for safe sleep; the essentials of car seat safety, and more!

Please consider registering for our Childbirth Preparation class to develop an understanding of the labor and birth process, our Ready for Breastfeeding class will help ensure a smooth start for you and baby and our Infant/Child Safety and CPR class which is a non-certification course which teaches adults to perform CPR on infants and children up to the age of eight.

Please only register one attendee. Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend. You do not need to register them.

Classes will be held in OB Classrooms A and B on the second floor.

Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive an email confirmation within one hour of registering.
