About This Event

Eating is a process we do with passion, persistence, pleasure and sometimes pain. We require food biologically, chemically, emotionally and sensually. These are the forces behind our eating behavior.

Does it surprise you to know that eating is one of the most sensually intimate experiences we have, and that it contributes quite a lot to our emotional well-being? So does the chemical interaction between certain foods and the happiness hormones that make us feel good emotionally.

Join presenters, Lindsay Verraster, MPH, RD and Julie Kembel, MS Ed, CHES to look at the mood-food relationship. You will:

  • Learn what foods trigger the feel good hormones
  • Experience ways of eating that expand the sense of pleasure needed for emotional satisfaction
  • Sample specific foods of characteristics that relate to your emotional needs. Please let us know about any food allergies!

Whether your moods dictate your food choices, or foods transform your moods, the mantra is this: knowledge is power!

Registration is required to allow for food, please call 781-624-8520 to register.
