Health claims displayed on food labels can be misleading, and sometimes inaccurate. For example, an item labeled “low-sodium” or “fat-free” may not necessarily be healthy for your heart. Join us for a discussion about nutrition labeling in regards to heart health and learn to identify trustworthy labeling statements from deceptive claims. We will take a look at a variety of food items and review some of the most deceiving product labels.
