Full Circle

South Shore Health System, now more than ever, needs our friends, families and neighbors to come together to help us shape how health care is provided in the future.

Mission Critical: The Campaign for Our 2nd Century is the largest, most ambitious capital campaign in the organization’s history. Yet, it is more than just a fundraising campaign. It is a community wide effort to make South Shore a healthier place to live, work and play. #MyMissionCritical is an invitation to share experiences with our Health System and to describe what is most important when it comes to your health or the health of your family or friends.

You can help us inform others about Mission Critical by using the hashtag #MyMissionCritical when posting photographs to social media. The hashtag will collect and connect our stories to highlight the vital role our Health System plays in our community. Your stories and your donations will help bring us closer to our goal of $70 Million by 2022, which marks the 100th anniversary of South Shore Hospital.

Presidents' Circle Spotlight: PC’s Impact on Mission Critical Campaign

For the past few years, while the planning and building of the new Richard and Joann Aubut Critical Care Unit was taking place, a group of committed community leaders were actively working to raise philanthropic support to fund this ambitious project.

Members of the Campaign Cabinet have championed our Mission Critical Capital Campaign and took time out of their busy lives to volunteer for this effort. Their commitment and leadership have paid off. At the unveiling of the new Aubut CCU and the launch of the public phase of the Mission Critical campaign, we announced more than $36 million has been raised toward our goal of $70 million!

A number of Presidents’ Circle members served on the Campaign Cabinet and we would like to acknowledge them and thank them for their tireless commitment to South Shore Health System:

  • Tom McCarthy, Campaign Chairman, KAF Financial Advisors
  • Jeff DiMarco, Campanelli
  • Bill Fallon, ASP Global
  • David Gomes, Navis Learning
  • John Maguire, Friendly’s
  • Chris Oddleifson, Rockland Trust
  • George Whitmore, Anchor Capital Advisors, LLC
