A fundraising campaign to invite colleagues to make a donation to support South Shore Health System.
There are several ways to contribute, including the new option of donating PTO hours. Payroll deduction provides the easiest way to contribute pre-taxed to the Colleague Campaign. You may also make a one-time gift with a check, cash or credit card. Complete the enclosed gift form or visit us online at: southshorehealth.org/colleaguecampaign.
At the time of your donation, you must maintain at least 40 hours of PTO in your bank. PTO balance cannot be depleted below 40 hours regardless of the PTO donation election. For example, if you elect to donate 40 hours of PTO, but have 60 hours in your PTO bank, the 40 hour donation would automatically be decreased to 20 because you would only be eligible to donate 20 hours of PTO.
The value of your PTO donation will be reported on your Form W-2 and is subject to tax withholdings. The after-tax value will be donated to the Foundation.
All colleague gifts will support the Health System’s largest priorities, such as building our new Critical Care Unit.
Payroll deduction for your gift will begin on the next pay period after your gift form is processed. It will continue for the time period you have designated i.e., 1, 2 or 3 years. Colleagues who committed to a one-year pledge last year will have their first deduction after last year's pledge ends.
Your gift is 100% tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law, and an acknowledgement of your gift will be sent to your home.
Your pledge is not a legally binding contract. If you leave SSHS and elect not to fulfill your commitment, no attempt will be made to deduct the remaining balance from your final paycheck.
Yes. Confidentiality is very important to us. If you choose to remain anonymous, your name will not be included in any donor recognition efforts.
