What is EpicCare Link?

EpicCare Link is Epic’s web-based portal that affiliated community providers and their staff can connect with South Shore Health System’s Epic electronic health record. It provides community users with secure access to select patient information in our Epic data repository.

EpicCare Link provides registered users with secure access to the electronic medical record information and test results from South Shore Health facilities.

Training

Training webinars are available for participating providers and Skilled Nursing (SNFs) / Visiting Nursing (VNAs) that you can view at your convenience. Additionally, our support team will be available to provide user guidance and technical support.

How to Register for South Shore Health System's EpicCare Link

Thank you for your interest in connecting to South Shore Health System's Epic EHR through EpicCare Link.

To register, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download the EpicCare Link Access Agreement.
  2. Have the document signed and dated by the legal owning entity of your practice.
  3. Download the Link Registration Form, and then complete with required location and users information.
  4. Scan the signed Access Agreement and completed Registration Form, and then send both files to EpicCare.Link@sshosp.org. Once your registration is complete, we will notify you of next steps.


EpicCare Link Browser, System, and Connection Requirements

You must use one of the following Internet browsers to access EpicCare Link:

  • Apple Safari 6 and any later versions
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 through 11
  • Mozilla Firefox 24 and any later versions

EpicCare Link requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels.

We recommend that you use a high-speed Internet connection to achieve the best system speed and performance. In addition, you need Java enabled to display graphs and scanned images in EpicCare Link.

EpicCare Link must be used on HIPAA compliant hardware such as a workstation or laptop. The following devices are not authorized for use with South Shore Health System's EpicCare Link deployment:

  • Hand held devices
  • Phones
  • Tablets
  • PDAs
  • Any publicly available device
