For Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Clinicians

South Shore Hospital's Medical Staff Members and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) have been actively engaged in configuring the Epic foundation system to successfully work across South Shore Health System.

The Radiology department implemented a new image viewer called "iConnect" which launches through Meditech's EMR. Any image that was taken prior to 4-11-17 will open the original Amicas viewer and anything after that date (4-11-17) will open using iConnect. The Quick Reference Card provides describes tools and features to help get you started.

Personalization Labs

Personalization labs are an important part of Epic training for our Medical Staff. They consist of hands on sessions designed to help providers customize Epic to meet your needs. Two-hour sessions are scheduled each day:

  • 6 AM to 8 AM
  • 8 AM to 10 AM
  • 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • 5 PM to 7 PM (excluding Fridays)

Registrations are preferred, and can be made directly in HealthStreamWalk-ins are welcome as long as the session is not full. Please be prompt, classes will start on time.
